Everything here was so... green. The trees, the plant life, even the surface of the water reflecting the lushness of the grass. It was soft and welcoming,
almost like the surface of the ground was just begging to be belly-flopped. Pheo wiggled her toes in the grass at the edge of the Lake, with a curious and
stern expression on her face, her boots and cloak tossed carelessly on the grass behind her.
"It's so... different. It's not cold at all."
A gentle rumble of laughter sounded behind Pheo, and she turned. Behind Pheo, a violet dragon stood proud, head high, and an amused expression plastered on her face.
Pheo sighed and turned back to the Lake. "Keilaki, it's not funny. There's no ice here."
Keilaki, the dragon, strode up to stand beside Pheo, and looked down at her. "You knew the whole world wasn't covered in ice."
Pheo pursed her lips as she stared down at the surface of the Lake. "Well, yea, but..."
"What did you expect?"
Pheo looked up at the violet dragon, and noticed how the sunlight really brought out the silver sheen of her scales. Then she looked out across the surface of the Lake, and replied with a hesitant voice, "... definitely not this."
