The forest echoed with the silence of the world that night, every noise seemed to catch his ears as he walked. Why was he even Going after this girl? to tell the truth, he needed the cash. He was known through out the other two realms well, but since his station here, earth, he had no connection with the outside, other than verbal. No money, no food, he had to live day to day. It was what he started with though, and it was nothing he could handle. the thing was, it was getting old, and quick. He was on day three of being absolutely broke. In the last three days, he'd killed one animal, and didn't eat for two days. He needed food. But, for now, he needed to catch this runaway. Why was he going after her though?

Four Days Previous.

The man walked, oddly well dressed, and even more so, rather flashy for this part of the world. More than that, he stood out like a sore thumb. To top it all off, he was nearly broke, and he couldn't figure out how to make a quick buck to get him to the next town. There were a few rumors that he caught as he walked the street, one of the most interesting was when he heard he looked like ''the girl''. This caught his interest, and finally he stopped and asked a gentleman at a corner.

'' Who is this girl that i here is missing?''

The gentleman answered slowly. '' Mada'am Prescott's Child has managed to run away from her. oddly, you resemble her slightly, or maybe the other way around. '' The man handed Exion a slip of paper, with an address, and a amount of money that he could rather use. But first, he'd go to the address, to find out a bit more. children? running away?.. this seemed like he could be getting into something he'd regret. He red the address, and looked at the man again

'' Where is this at? the house i mean.''

The gentleman looked at him again, unsure of what to think about this crimson haired fellow in the sleek silver trench coat. '' Its up three streets, and too the left at the end of the road, you cant miss it...'' He looked at the crimson haired man again, before turning. He wondered who he was... it wasn't often to see someone like him, the way he looked, roaming the streets. He had the face that seemed to scream rich. He started to speak, '' Who are...'' he stopped.. the man was gone.

Exion continued down the street. Quick, brisk strides falling the cobblestone as he walked. his boots splashing through the rain. He hated the rain, and it was all that he had seen since he got into the city. He grimaced a bit as he looked down, that was alot of money.. what was so important about her... or did they just have that much? he looked out at the end of the street, some distance away. a rather large house. more so a castle stood a mile or three down the road. He tilted his head, maybe they did have the money. each stride carried him closer to knowing a few things, or so he thought at the time.

Within a few minutes, he found himself at the door of the large place. he knocked, three times hard. voices inside, sounding more angry than relieved, as if they werent, or maybe were expecting it to be the girl. For all it was worth, he had expected some elder woman to answre the door, maybe someone who loved the dear child, or depended on her. But not what he seen as she opened the door slightly at first, and then a little wider. '' You have her?'' he heard her say from the shadow of the door.

''her? The child you mean? I assume she has a name.... I need a few things answered, before i go, if you dont mind, Miss Prescott.''

Through the shadow, a woman stepped, thought the shadow seemed to leave a tainted mark on her as she did. Her blond hair broke through, thought seemed to stay at the same time. It was darker, riding her shoulders gently. Exion kept his hair over his eyes. he learned fast taht people didnt take kind to his eyes at all. Hers however, were blue as they could be. '' Does the child's name concern you?'' she shot back, a bit of heat through her lip as she did.

Exion answered, '' Well, if i'm looking for her, i'd have a better peice of mind if i knew the girls name, Miss.''

'' Its Madam, and the Girls name is Raye. are we done now?''

Exion looked at her, she seemed awfully short to him.. maybe it was getting to her. '' Why did she leave, might i ask. And why do you want her back?''

The woman's whole facade seemed to change in front of Exion's eyes. Her own began to water a bit. her face going from stern, to almost a sadened look about them. She lowered her head, and the soft sound of sobs left her for a few moments. '' I..'' her sobs breaking her words up quite badly, '' I.. adopted Raye when she was no more than an infant. The idea was to keep her safe from what her parents were doing. I'm not sure exactly what it was.. but they didn't draw the best of people around them, and they were on the run. Naturally it was easier to leave the child, so i took her for them, in return they left her with me, to raise as my own. appearantly she's found that i'm not her real mother, and naturally she wants to know them. But.. i fear it isnt safe for her out there.'' She said, over a few minutes. her sobs getting worse, both in hysterics, and water.

'' Give me some time, from what this says, she's got a few days on me. I'm sorry to upset you, and i'll be on my way, Madam Prescott.'' He said slowly.

Her sobs slowed a bit. '' Thank you.'' She sayed no more as she closed the door. Exion was already turning around. he had some work to do. Maybe this would be harder than he thought. not to mention that something about it felt wrong. He hated when things felt wrong. As would be expected, the rain wasn't making things any easier for tracking, things would suck for him in the next few hours. but he had a bit of time, maybe he could get this going on the fast track. First thing, he needed a cigarette. He pulled the pack from his coat, and lit it using a strange metal device, and placed it back in his pocket. Closing his eyes, he followed raw emotion around the town for a few hours, looking for the one that seemed to come from a younger start.

Present time

He found himself walking now in the dark after thinking about how he got himself into this mess, wondering if the path was anywhere close to what he needed it to be. The path ahead was dry. he grinned a little bit. he walked out of the rain the night before last, and he couldnt have been more pleased with it. He had found that he was on the right path that night, though he wasnt sure if he was anywhere close to her. The forest wasnt helping him figure it out either. Nore was his stomach telling him to eat something. He'd have to find something to kill by tomorrow night, or he might as well go back home, that wasn't an option. His Black jeans were hit repeatedly by the steady heavy Silver coat he wore. his Silver eyes gazed into the night, glaring gently against the fool moon. Every few steps covered by his Crimson, black streaked, locks. He looked around. It seemed fresh this time, maybe she was somewhere around. Just incase, he took a leap agains the trunks of a couple of close trees, and worked his eay up to a higher branch, before moving deeper into the forest. On the edge, he found a clearing though he couldnt see anyone, he could feel someone close by. Blaintly, he didnt think to look under him as he lit another cigarette.
