Smudj snorted softly. "I know what they were there for, silly wizard. They're to chain the wind, but those lights aren't of any use to anyone except the bats and the bats don't need your help." He snapped his fingers and jumped off the shelf. It should have been too far for safety, and would have been to anyone without the magic of a brownie. He landed lightly on the table beneath the shelf and looked up at the wizard, folding his arms to prove that he wasn't afraid of him.
