Hytric grinned a little in Tarelyk's direction. "A wolf isn't always a wolf after all, I guess." He then turned to speak to the wolf-person-thing. "I am new to the area, actually, and a bit disoriented. I've never had trouble being alone in a desert before, but things are a bit different this time, I suppose. I'm still not too worried about death, though. Maybe I should be." He shrugged. "As I was just telling my new friend here, my name's Hytric. I assume you have your own, and I'd be obliged if you were to tell me what it is, so I don't have to keep refering to you as the wolf-person-thing in my head. Or 'shapeshifter' as he calls it, apparently," he added, nodding in Tarelyk's direction.

He really probably should have been more surprised by the whole situation, but he was far, far away from home and wasn't really expecting anything to be "usual". Under this frame of mind, a wolf turning into a person in front of his eyes really wasn't all that astounding.

((Sorry for the delayed response. guys. Thanksgiving vacation isn't always as much of a vacation as I would like it to be.))
