In response to Silver's post... What?

Okay let's break this done a moment. First off... Explain to me what part of my remarks were stupid? I didn't say anything in the above that is not true or intelligent. I didn't insult you so I would ask you treat me with the same level fo respect.

Now I can barely understand the first part of your post, so let me just clarify mine by saying that it is true that such a match would not be even (and yes it is very relevant as you yourself proved by admitting he is stronger than most other characters). If you are getting pissed off because I chose to use your character as an example, I am sorry. Yours was the first to come to mind as I've had recent expierence with him.

I never said not to host your tournament, I simply said that there are issues that do need to be addressed before you go about hosting one.

I do take offense at my roleplayiny being called 'old fashion'. Because it's not. I learned to roleplay like everyone else here and under similiar circumstances. I just happened to go to boards which demanded more than three lines to a post if you were ever to be taken seriously and most storyline related posts were usually a page or more in length to describe the events happening around them. I don't think your roleplaying is any 'newer', 'better' or 'worse' than mine. You simply haven't the background I have had and it is different as a result.

By hurt, I don't mean a small scratch or bruise I mean taking a hit. If you slashed at my character with a blade and rather than attempt to dodge, I decided to step into the attack and block with my arm so that I could get a clean hit on your body, in exchange for a huge slash on my own limb. Even if my attempt failed, it was a worthy attempt. I'd be roleplaying at a disadvantage for the rest of the fight but that just adds to the expierence if you ask me. I think such actions are worth more then the character merely dodging out of the way in a normal boring fashion.

CodeZx, I agree with you that page long posts would be asking too much, I was merely using such a length as an example. Really two detailed paragraphs would suffice. I just would like to see more than "I slash horizontally at you with my gaint sword" is all.

And yes, many (infact most) characters have weaknesses to suppliment thier strengths, however a number of them don't and those are the ones I worry about. I would not think it fair to pit one of the characters with weaknesses against a character with none.

The day when nobody comes back from a war it will be because the war has at last been properly organized.
