((NOTE: The stuff at the beginning will be explained later in the storyline. Lets just say it's pointing towards what's going to
happen in the near future.))
Out of everything that had ever happened in my life, I never thought about the kind of situation I suddenly found myself in. True I didn't doubt for a
minute I would gladly put my own safety far below someone I loved if the situation called for it, but I never guessed things would go down as they did or that
I'd come so close to doing just that. Even thinking back it I should have realized what was going on before it happened, but being the hot-headed person I
was, and still am, I never saw it coming. I didn't see the inevitable outcome, even as it played out right in front of me.
What am I talking about you ask? Well, I guess I should start back at the very beginning of this twisted tale......

The usual silence greeted Blaise as she gazed out over the ruins, her orangey-red cat eyes taking in everything in front of her before she made her way deeper into the ruins. The dim moonlight was the only real illumination in the entire area, and even that wasn't enough to penetrate the deepest shadows. However, she didn't dare use her flames for light because that would give her away all to easily. Right now their only concern was staying unnoticed, and if it meant going around half blind in the process then so be it. At least the one advantage was that she knew these ruins well enough that she didn't have much trouble navigating through.
While most would probably wonder why she was even out here at midnight, Blaise knew perfectly well her reasons for being out here. Rumors had been spreading around as of late that something was going on out here in the ruins. More and more creatures of the darker sort had been seen in this area, some had even gone so far as to attack some of the residents of the nearby town. As a result many people now refused to go anywhere near these ruins, and that was how they had gotten the call. Their only goal at this point was to try and figure out what exactly was going on here, then see what could be done about it. The only catch was that so far they had found nothing, and that was really starting to grate on Blaise's nerves.
When she finally reached the end of her search area, Blaise stood waiting for Exion to show up while trying to think of anywhere else they might have missed. Overall they had the place pretty well covered, but even she knew there had to be somewhere these demons were hiding. Now she just had to figure out where, and that could be easier said then done since there were places in these ruins even she didn't remember very well.
