"I hear them." she said softly, voice raspy from so many years of disuse. "They are strange sounds." She felt him pull her closer and smiled softly in the dark. She put her arms around him and squeezed lightly, turning her head toward him. Her nose met with his shoulder, causing her smile to widen. She turned onto her side and laid a hand on his chest to keep herself balanced. The coffin they shared was wide enough for both of them to fit side-by-side, and deep enough that they could move comfortably. It was made of stone, an older one by far.

Though she couldn't see him, she knew how he lay, and what his expression looked like. She moved his left arm and proceeded to lay on her side beside him, one arm over his chest, hand resting against his collar, the other between them. She stayed quiet and listened a moment. "I hear rumbling, but it is not the Earth shaking. What could be making such a noise? How long have we been asleep?"

"My, nigh 700 years? It seems there have been many changes." She felt the blankets roll off of her and she smiled a bit, looking at Tomal as he rolled to face her. In the next moment, she felt his fangs slide over her neck. She chuckled lightly. "I would think that 700 years without blood would make even you hungry." she said, tilting her head back a bit.
