It was a known fact that her father had arranged this marriage clearly for political gain, and of course Eavan had gone through with it without any complaints. Still the reality of her situation was much harsher then most realized, and despite being now married she hardly saw much of the one she called her husband. She came only when called as was expected of her, and other then that she was nothing more then a pretty object for other nobles to be envious of when she was shown to them. Love was something she could no longer expect to have in her life, no matter how badly she wished for it. She lived in a world where love was almost nonexistent, and so she could do nothing but hide her own emotions behind the mask she so easily wore. Still she couldn't deny the small part of her that wished to know that there was some small place for her in her husband's heart, no matter how little it may be. After all there had to be something there, or else he never would have chosen her.
Then again, maybe she was just letting herself get to caught up in her daydreams and not facing the true reality. After all this whole marriage had just been arranged by everyone else, so besides the role she now played she couldn't expect much else then that.
