Valoris narrowed his eyes. "If his servants have not told him who the lycan is. He will order a hunt to kill the creature. But in any case the lycan
responsible won't be found because he is of course in the dungeon wearing silver." It was the one cursed weakness he couldn't fight against.
"I am glad that I did not kill you, but now you too are cursed to be a lycan I am so sorry."

For what felt like an eternity nothing else was said, making anyone believe that Eavan had already vanished back to her rooms. However, that wasn't the
case and she was still present, but several minutes passed before she said anything at all.
"If it is what you want, I can help you escape but I ask only one thing in return. If I help you, then let me leave with you before the situations for us both turn much worse." She said, although it was probably somewhat unexpected she would ask to leave as well. Then again, even before now she was no better then a prisoner herself despite how things looked from another perspective.

Valoris inclined his head sliently in thought. "Yes I knew the moment I saw you milady that you were indeed as much a prisonor in this castle, and now
even more so. You may come with me before things get worse for you. For when the full moon rises you will experience your first change into that of lycan form.
I can at lest help you to control your changes and animal instincts so that you don't kill innocent people."
Though the dark mage knew that should his old friend capture him with the queen, then he would truly be a goner, for elender hated traitors, even those that were his so called friends. But the dark mage knew that elendar would never provoke the dark mage in attacking him, himself because even the king did not know what Valoris was capable of with the dark magics the lycan had studdied over the years. |

After hearing his agreement, Eavan pressed in a hidden brick that allowed part of the wall to slide away revealing where she had been this whole time they had
been talking. Unlike the rather ornate dress she had been wearing earlier, now she was dressed in darker clothing and she had thrown a black cloak over her
shoulders to further conceal herself from those idiot guards.
"Then I'll show you the quickest way to escape, without being seen." She said as she pulled out a key from the pocket of her dark colored pants, and while making sure to use part of her cloak to handle the lock she unlocked the chains that were binding Valoris. How she managed to get that key was anyone's guess, but needless to say she had her way of getting what she wanted. One way or another.

Valoris smiled in thanks, as the silver chains were now freed from his body. He stood up from the floor his golden green eyes glowing in the semi darkness of
the dungeon, and truly revealing how much of a lycan he was. "Yes and I thank you for helping me to escape this dungeon. How ever Elendar is no fool and
will soon peice the puzzle together and realize that I bit you."

"Which is why I suggest we get out of here before he figures anything out." Eavan said before she started walking back down the dimly lit hallway she
had come from just moments before. However, instead of walking back towards her own rooms she turned in a different direction leading into another much darker
hallway. Apparently from the way it looked this passageway hadn't been used in who knew how long, but that worked well for them because it meant less of a
chance for the two of them to be discovered during their escape attempt.

Valoris inclined his head, and followed her. She knew where they were going. For he did not, but during that time the dark mage remained silent as if thinking
of his actions in the garden and regreting having lost control. But he had been upset at his old friend for provoking him. His eyes glittered as if he thought
of doing some retiliation to his old friend and in fact plans began to form in the mages mind.

After countless twists and turns, Eavan stopped and listened for a few minutes before searching around on a nearby wall. After finding what she was looking
for, she pressed another hidden switch causing one more concealed door to open. The only difference was that this one led outside the palace walls, and with
this passage being so close to the nearby forest they would have plenty of cover to escape. However Eavan was certain the guards would realize she was gone
once morning came, but by then both her and Valoris would be long gone and it would be difficult to track them down.

Valoris could smell the open air once the door was opened, he took a deep breath and smiled. "The clean fresh air of the forrest tis by far safer then
that of the air in castled walls." Then he started to walk into the forrest and almost blended into the shadowed line of the trees. For he was at home in
the forrest more so then he was in buildings.
But he stopped only once within the shadowed line, and his elven figure blurred and became a large cat once more, but this time the elven lycan was in control of himself. "It will be safer milady if you ride on my back, and that way they can only track one of us." |

"Alright." Eavan said as she nodded in agreement before carefully climbing onto Valoris's back. However, just before they could even make a move
the all to familiar sound of the alarms reached them from the palace. Evidently they had discovered that Eavan was missing, as well as Valoris, and had already
sent out the alerts to the rest of the palace.
"Well I think now would be the perfect time to vanish as quickly as possible." Eavan said in a worried tone of voice as she held on tightly to Valoris seeing as she had no idea where they were headed and neither did she want to fall and get left behind by any chance either.

Valoris smiled, and lept up into the nearest tree branch, and began racing away from the castle. "Oh I know exactly where I am going." But in his
mind he was casting a spell.
shadows of darkness, hide our foot prints Confuse the enemy so they do not know where to look. Let them chase false leads to their doom When the bell tolls the hour They will strike for justice Power shall be returned Balance restored on the night too flee from the excutions grasp. Then a wall of blackness appeared from behind them, and ate up their footprints, and gave the castle guards false leads to folllow, as for the rest well. While they fled the lycans whose dens Elendar had disturbed attacked once more but this time there would be great costs on both sides. |

While she could not see it for herself, Eavan had a sense that something terrifying had befallen the palace she had just escaped from. She could only guess it
had something to do with the lycans, but she felt little sorrow for those she had left behind. She was no longer a prisoner in that place, and she would gladly
throw off being a queen for her freedom that she now had. Elendar could deal with whatever came, because she was certain he brought it on himself and she
wouldn't be there to take the fall with him. In other words, she was all to glad to be rid of the world she had been forced to live in until now.

Valoris spoke softly. "I did tell Elendar that he let in the wolf, but it would not depart that way. Though he brought the destruction of his kingdom into
his own hands, and now all that he has strived for will be turn asunder. He will not live long tonight."
Uncannly the dark mages words were very accurate, the lycans had slain all of elendars guards, and now avanced upon the king themselves, his days of living had now been numbered for he had encroached upon territory that did not belong to him. Nor had been given to him from the lycans in the peace treaty that had been tinious at best. |

"Well, I can't say I feel any sorrow for him or pity. All this he brought on himself, even I could see that." Eavan said in a rather cold tone of
voice, showing she held no affection whatsoever for the man she had been forced to marry. She had known from the beginning he was a fool who would do anything
to enlarge his kingdom, even going so far as to encrouch upon lycan territory that was not to be touched according to the treaties. However, he was to
overeager to outstep his bounds, and as a result he was paying with a very high price.
However, now she was free of him and in all honesty she could feel a faint trace of happiness that she had never felt before in her life. She was finally free to live life as she wished to, even if it did mean living life as a woman cursed to become a lycan. That she could live with, and now that she had her freedom that seemed like a very small price to pay.

Valoris shook his head slightly. "You may not, for you did not know him when he was different. Before he became a king, he allowed it to go to his head.
Also we were brothers though you would not have known it for all the differences there were bewteen him and I. I knew him most of my life, I fought beside
him... But well when he became king I knew that he was not the right choice to lead his people. But there was little I could do I had lycan blood in me, and
the elves were not willing to be ruled by a lycan."

"Well that is true, I can't say much. I only knew the side of him that was the king, and even then it was only what he chose to show me." Eavan
said since after all she had been nothing more then just a status symbol. Everyone knew that Elendar had married an elven woman that was both beautiful and
from a powerful family, making it a near perfect match. However, behind all the outer looks there was a clear line between them. She was, after all, only the
queen who was expected to follow the orders of her king without question and merely be a show piece for others. However that was another issue all together,
and she would rather not dwell on it now that she was no longer trapped in that life.

Valoris smiled faintly. "Now you are free to live your own life, how you see fit. As for me I shall miss one of my elven friends. How ever I believe a
king and queen should be equal instead of her being shown off as a show peice. What he did to you was rather unthinkable, and something only one of evil would
have done.
You are still a Queen even though Elendar is now dead. That kingdom can be rebuilt anew if you have the courage to do so." But he never made mention of himself which was strange enough. |

"But not even I know if I can." Eavan admitted in a unsure tone of voice. She wasn't sure how well the people would take to having a lycan elf as
their queen, especially with all the animosity breweing between the two races. True this could be a chance to end all of it, but she knew she couldn't do
it all on her own. Not only that but now definitely would not be the best time, she would have to wait until the situation began to dissipate before she could
even think of rebuilding this now broken kingdom. A kingdom she wasn't even sure she wanted to lead herself.

Valoris smiled faintly. "You wouldn't have to necessairly have to do it alone. I suppose I could help, I am after all a lycan as well. But it would
help to provid peace with the lycans in this area. I am also half elven and they will trust me as I have journied amongst them for some time."

"I suppose eventually I may have to do something, but would you really be willing to help me?" Eavan asked as she gazed down at Valoris with a
curious expression on her face. Actually that seemed to be the first clear sign of emotion she had ever shown since they had met, but then again back at their
first meeting she'd been in a situation where she had to hide her emotions. Now that she was no longer in that circumstance she was able to just be herself
for once and not worry so much about what people thought.
