Silveria glanced around cautiously, the white artic fox knew that she was being hunted. But by her own kind, and though elves hated lycans at best. She had
tried to avoid them. She was in essence the last of the elders of the lycans. Though she was of royal blood lines none of the elves in this area knew that. How
ever while feeing from the hunting party of seasoned elves, the fox got entangled in one of their traps, and growled trying to pull herself free.

"You know, if you keep moving around and making all that noise they're going to find you even faster."
The voice had seemed to come out of nowhere, but it wasn't hard to figure out who had spoken when an other elf landed on the ground from where he had been hidden in some nearby trees. Like most elves he was rather tall, but unlike the lighter colored hair most elves possessed his hair was as black as night with only the slightest hint of white mixed in. However it was pretty much impossible to tell what color his eyes were because a black colored strip of cloth was wrapped around his face like a blindfold but even with that he still acted as if he could see as clear as day. He could hear the sounds of the hunters moving closer, but at the same time he could sense a little confusion out of them. As if they knew what they were hunting but weren't sure where it had gone, which meant he was guessing this trapped lycan was what they were hunting down. Or either she'd just managed to get entangled in one of the traps by chance, and either scenario was equally unpleasant.

The white Vixen narrowed her eyes, and growled softly. "Then what do you suggest elf?" Either way the lycan figured she was dead. They were going to
come destroy her, and perhaps it was for the best. She was the last of a long line of royal lycans. But if she died the lycans in the area would become even
more aggressive then they had been. Though she not thought of that yet.

What could have been considered a smirk curved on his face before he walked over to the struggling lycan. Did he have something in mind? Yes he did, but she
didn't know what and it made it more fun if he could keep her in the dark for a little while longer.
"What do you think I would suggest?" He asked while twisting a long, slender knife in his hands. At the same time he was listening out for those hunters, but so far they seemed occupied elsewhere for the time being.

Silveria saw red at that, and her furr bristled as she continued to struggle against the trap. "If you think I will allow you to kill me before they do.
You have another thing comming." But it was that rage which snapped the trap in too and allowed the lycan to be freed. "Hmm what do you know I freed
myself from their stupid trap." Then she whirled and vanished from sight just as the other elven hunters arrived.

Once the hunters reached the trap, they almost attacked the unnamed elf on sight before they realized who was standing there. They all immediately bowed and
some even stuttered a few apologies but he just waved them off as if it didn't matter that they had almost attacked him.
"If you're looking for the lycan, she escaped but I believe she was circling around back towards the capital." He explained, knowing full well that's not the way the lycan female had gone. However, they didn't need to know that and why give them the satisfaction of slaughtering another lycan just for the fun of it? "Thank you Lord Riven, we'll report once the lycan has been captured." The lead hunter said with another bow before the small group headed off in their new direction. However, once they were out of sight a rather satisfied smirk appeared on Riven's face as he casually tossed the knife in the air and then caught it again in his hand. "Idiots." He muttered before heading off further into the forest, with no intention of returning to the capital anytime soon.

Silveria made her way onwards towards a hidden lake, that she had gone to many times to play her flute, that had been in her family for many generations. Upon
reaching the crystal blue lake, the lycan took her elven form. White hair flowed down her back in long ringlets, but she wore an orriental like robe that
allowed her free movement, and she began to play a tune on her flute. But the flute itself was enchanted to speak stories and paint pictures. But it would
effect different people emotionally if they heard the music. Some were known to weep for unknown reasons as the music reached its peak.
Though it was part of her hertiage the elder of the lycans knew that she was a hunted creature, for no elf could tolorate a lycan even one that was half elven. Luckily thought the elven lycan that the elf hadn't followed her. That would have been rather embarrassing to explain that she was part elf. |

Unfortunately, that wasn't going to stay a secret for very long since while he had been walking, Riven had easily caught wind of the music Silveria was
playing.
"Okay......there is no way that could be just some strange unexplainable sound." He said to himself and just to be sure he started following the sound. As is steadily grew louder he knew he was getting close, and eventually he could sense the presence of the same lycan female he had run into earlier that day. However, now he could sense something else as if she wasn't fully lycan. There was something else there as well, and it felt distinctly elven. "So looks like I've found another halfbreed." Riven thought to himself as he kept out of sight while listening to the music.

Silveria had no clue that she had been found out. How ever when the music came to a close, she made the flute dissappear. Standing up she glanced at the lake
one last time. For she knew she would not be coming back to these parts. She had tried to reason with the elves for peace with the lycans. But it had not
worked, she had not wanted her people to die even here on this world. Unlike the great betrayal of elves and men on her own home world wich irradicated her own
pack members. "Ah mother nature I have tried to reason with them. But it does no good, the elves here will simply not listen. And before they know it even
the lycans will cease to live within the forrest itself. I will go to the territory of wolves, were at least I know lycans there exist in a peaceful unity and
were the tree spirits still are active. Here everything is as quiet as a silent tomb."
Then the elvish figure vanished, and the fox was again on the on the move heading into the tree lines unaware that some one now knew what her other half was. Of course had she known she was being followed the viven would not have been very happy. |

Although he could have easily followed her, Riven chose not to for the time being. Although he would admit something about this lycan halfbreed intrigued him,
more then any others ever did and he had met his fair share of halfbreeds. Then again anything unusual normally caught his interest, but either way that was
not the major point right then. The biggest issue was figuring out what she meant about those peace talks she had been referring to. He hadn't heard a word
about that, which concerned him greatly. If his family was hiding something from him then he was going to find out what, and try and sift through whatever mess
they had caused again this time.

Silveria finally reached her den, and placed safe guards upon her cave to keep anyone from intering into her home. And from there she once again returned to
her elven state, and got ready for a very long nite of sleeping. How ever in the capitol of the royal elves they had indeed been hiding the fact that they had
talked to silveria in elven form and had refused her peace talks. Though no one wanted to say their reasons on why that was so.

That whole evening the sounds of an arguement floated through the palace hallways, and it was no secret as to who was fighting in the large throne room.
Eventually the fighting died off but afterwards Riven stormed out of the throne room and out of the palace entirely. Apparently, for some reason that no one
wanted to say, he'd been kept in the dark about everything and he was seriously fed up with it. He was the damned heir to this place and yet they still
kept secrets, as if he had no right to know anything that was going on.
"I'm sick of this, they can keep their damn secrets but I'm not going to have any part in this." He fumed knowing this was all going downhill very swiftly. Once the lycans caught word that they had refused these peace talks, and almost killed one of the lycans, the already boiling relations would reach the breaking point and they'd be in for an all out war. A senseless war that Riven wanted no part in whatsoever.

Silveria had passed near the capitol city on her way out of the elven lands, and leaping up into a tree changed forms once more, and started playing a tune on
her flute. But it was extremly sad for the flute told a story of betrayal between man, and of elves, and what they had done to the lycans of silver moon
planet. There were sounds on the edges of the captiol of people crying for unknown reasons. But no one knew that it was because of the elder of the weres that
it was so. Except for one.

"So I see you're back, guess we just keep running into each other don't we?"
Riven was sitting in a tree right next to Silveria's perch, and as always he was tossing his knife in the air casually as if he didn't have a care in the world. Okay so yes that was far from true but why go into all the minor details? He saw no reason that was for sure especially considering all the hell he had just managed to get out of. Neither was he planning on going back anytime soon, because in all honesty he sometimes hated being part of the elven royalty.

Silveria narrowed her eyes, and nearly dropped the flute she had been playing. Putting it away she glanced at the strange elf.
"I suppose we do. Though I should wonder why you are not in the capitol of elves. Are you a lycan as well or perhaps a halfbreed?" She was suspicious of him. "Or mayhap you are a spy for the elven royals." |

Riven just gave a humorless smirk before putting the knife away. "No I am neither a lycan or halfbreed, and seeing nothing wouldn't be to my advantage
if I were a spy. Which I'm not, and if you need proof of that then think back to when you escaped those hunters."
True he had a point there, he could have easily given her away to the hunters but hadn't done so. Not only that but now it seemed he had given away, in a twisted manner, his reasons for wearing the blindfold over his eyes. Although he could easily trick someone into thinking he could see as clearly as the next person, but in reality that was only because his other senses had overcompensated for his lack of vision.

Silveria narrowed her eyes, and smiled darkly. "Then if you are neither, there is only one option left and that is you are of course of royal elven blood.
You most certaintly fooled a lycan into thinking you could see." Though of course she still continued to keep things to herself. Things that would have
been very important to his family if they had known they had tried to kill an elder of the lycans. Though she had no intention on revealing that yet.

"True as that may be, I don't much care to claim that's where I come from. Although that is another story altogether." Riven said as he
remained where he was sitting, not even attempting to approach Silveria for the time being. That should have been a clue that he wasn't looking for
trouble, and neither was he going to be threatening or hostile towards her. Instead he kept a decent distance between them and made sure it was clear that he
had no interest in attacking her at anytime. True he could have taken the chance if he leaned more in that direction, but fortunately he wasn't like those
hunters and preferred to keep it that way.

Silveria only smiled revealing her fangs. "Truth often has a way of hurting people, even though it is not intended to do so. But you see had I been slain,
the strain with the lycans would have diffently been broken. For I am the last elder of the lycans. Though they too know of my blood lines though I myself am
from another world. And so I do not truly belong to this one unlike the dark mage Valoris."

"And believe me when I say that I know my family would attempt anything to start a war with the lycans. All the more reason to slaughter them
mercilessly." Riven said, disgust clear in his voice. He really had no problems with the lycans, after all he had met a few in the past and found he liked
them even more then his own family. Of course the elven court wasn't without it's politics and useless power struggles, mainly fueled by a sense that
they were the superior race. A belief that Riven didn't hold himself, much to the irritation of the rest of the nobility.

Silveria smiled once more. "Indeed, but the only way for true peace to be acomplished with the lycans is if that of royal blood from the elven side
marries one who is of the lycan blood. I do not for see that happening any time soon. Besides I shall soon leave this area anyway.
There are other elven kingdoms I must visit, even the drow are tolerate to some of us, for they were the first I spoke to. Being outcasts much like that of those of us who are halfbreeds we find great kinship with the darker elves, and those whom are called the blood elves. For in them we see ourselves." |
