Although he was glad Silveria had agreed to stay here for the time being, even Riven knew that setting everything straight was not going to be an easy task.
There would be plenty of people who would resist the changes, because they had lived with the old beliefs for so long. However, if anything was ever going to
be right again then he had to change things whether people liked it or not. Not only that but he was aware this could cause some major conflicts in the future,
but that was a bridge they would just have to face once they came to it.

Of course Silveria had no idea if perhaps Riven had asked her to stay for some other reasons besides he didn't want to lose a trusted friend. Though
considering the propchey that had been said, she knew eventually he would take a queen. Wither that was her or not she did not know.

In all honesty Riven hadn't even thought that this prophecy Silveria told him had anything to do with him, but then again that was usually how things went.
His only concern was rebuilding what had been destroyed since the whole war with the lycans had begun, but even he wasn't sure how much could be fixed. The
mistrust would linger for some time, and he could only hope that even if it wasn't in his lifetime that things would eventually change for the better.

But Silveria knew that it did, and with that conviction running through her mind. She knew that eventually Riven would come to understand it, though for him it
might take a little longer. Because he was an elf and had to question such things, where as she did not even though she herself was half elf.

After they had been cursed, the elves who had once lived in the palace had dispersed, not wishing for any of their kindred to see what had befallen them.
Although by now word had gotten around that they had been punished for their actions, and that the only remaining heir would step up and rebuild the broken
kingdom. For the most part everyone seemed to easily accept that things would change, but there were those who opposed it strongly and Riven knew he'd have
to deal with that just the same.
"So, do you really think this is making any progress whatsoever?" Riven asked Silveria from where they were both sitting in a side room away from all the chaos that had seemed to have fallen right on them by now. Well maybe to an extent things were starting to work little by little, but even he had to question it sometimes.

Silveria inclined her head softly. "Every little bit that you do Riven, has made a progress though at this point. It is far to small to be seen. But when
it is finished as a whole, it will be worth the finished product. For then you will have felt that you have acomplished something of worth."
And she could feel the silent agreement from some of the lycans that had returned when they had heard that Riven was going to rebuild the broken kingdom anew. |

"I hope you're right on that, it's just hard at times not to feel some discouragement over how some fight so hard against this. Not that I try to
feel that way, it just happens from time to time." Riven confessed to Silveria, knowing at least she wouldn't judge him to harshly for admitting that.
She was the one person he could confide in without fear of rejection or criticism, and for that he'd always be grateful. Then again, he was fairly sure
something much deeper then friendship was starting to form between them but neither did he want to act on such things just yet.

Silveria smiled softly. "Yes there will be many hard times like these ahead. But the good times will outweigh the bad. And one must always look for the
brightside when it can be found. Even when it seems like it is hopeless. A cause is never lost, it just waits until it is time to be picked up again.

"That is true, I suppose that's the only belief that makes all this worth it." Riven said since believing that things would turn out for the
better was the only thing that really kept him going sometimes. Even though the conflicts weren't as bad as they could have been, they were still there and
it didn't make it any easier to have to deal with them. Oh well at least the negotiations seemed to be going well which was definitely a step in the right
direction.

Silveria inclined her head. "Yes, and have made a step in the right direction by making negoations. I think that the lycans will return once word has
spread of what has happened here. I am sure they will take up residence again." Though she looked for a second or so. It was because for a second she had
felt the pull of attraction.

"That's my goal anyway, so that maybe all this fighting between us can finally end." Riven said, and although he sensed the pull between them he
didn't say anything seeing as Silveria seemed hesitant to bring it up herself. He would rather wait and see what kind of move she made before acting on his
own emotions, since that seemed to be the safest route at the current moment.
OOC: KK I'll head that way.

Silveria decided that she would wait to see what kind of move he made first. She wasn't going to start something and then regret being the first lycan to
do something about this attraction. Besides it was the males job to make an advance not the females. "Perhaps, then again for some they will say they will
require more than a truce for them to believe in such."

"Yes well, we'll just have to see what kind of proof comes out of this chaos." Riven said almost as if he were hinting at things without outright
saying it. He was more or less treading carefully as he felt out Silveria's feelings towards him before making his move. That way at least he would know he
wasn't making to fast of a move and instead was certain of things before saying anything at all.

Silveria inclined her head slightly. "Indeed we shall have to see. But than again hope has governed my people for the longest of time. For it without
well, lycans would have become true killers. Though like any race we all have good and bad amongst our peoples."
|
|||
sailornik |
|||
|
"I would say that is true for any race, but at any rate I just hope for now things take a better turn then they have before." Riven said since at
least for the most part things did seem to be on the right track. Now if they could keep them that way then that'd be a bit more encouraging then before.

Silveria inclined her head. "Yes, but for now I suppose we wait and see what the outcome will be. But at least it is headed in the right direction and
that is all I really need."

"And if we can keep things that way it'll be less chaos for everyone." Riven said even though he had few doubts that things would stay as they
were. Most of the trouble was caused by a few small groups who didn't want this peace stuff to keep going, but they'd be dealt with soon enough.

Silveria inclined her head at that. "Yes it will be..." And while she was in the moon, the fox lycan, began to play a strange seductive tune on her
flute. It was an enchanted flute that often effected peoples emotions around the lycan, bringing what they felt that much closer to the surface.

"I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I think that's the first time I've ever heard you play any kind of instrument." Riven said
when he heard the flute music. Actually he didn't even know she played any kind of music at all, of course he had never asked either. Not that any of that
mattered, because from the way the music sounded he could have listened for hours and never grown tired of it. And he wasn't above admitting he enjoyed the
sound either.

Silveria smiled faintly. "That is because, this is the first time, you bothered to listen. I have played many times, once in the trees, and once at the
lake. But the songs then were both the same, and told the story of betrayal from both men and elves."
