Description/Appearance:

Gavin is somewhat lean, but quite muscular from all the traveling he does. He wears light clothing more often than not, but he changes when it is necessary (If hes going to cold climates or other places that require a large change). His eyes are naturally hazel, and his hair is naturally brown, but the curse upon him made his hair completely white and turned his eyes crimson.

Background: Gavin was a typical troublemaker. From a young age, he was a thief, and a damned good one. He was rarely caught, and most of the time, he could get out of it. However, he was forced to learn the ways of a mage by his father, an arch wizard. He absolutely hated this forced path for over three years. That is, until he found the wonder of travel magic. While most of the spells were used for quick long range transport, he found that they could be modified into the perfect set of thiefs tools. He took this on for quite some time. When he reached the age of 23, he put them to practical use. This caused him to come across a legendary artifact known as the Baal Fire sword. He took it, heedless of warnings. It was only later that he found that it had frozen his aging process forever and that it corrupted what it touched. He had a special sheath made for the weapon, and set out to find a way to break its hold on him at his fathers request.

Never one to break with old habits, Gavin soon found himself in possession of Zeuss Hands, Leviathans Staff, and Hephaestuss Aegis. All of them were merely things to show off for him, as they were thought to be unattainable by mortals. Even master thieves had fallen trying to get them. It has remained a secret that Gavins aging is forever halted, and he intends to keep it that way. He wanders across the planes and the world, seemingly forgetting his original quest in favor of adventuring.

Abilities/Magicks:
Blink: A short range teleport, able to be used in quick succession without any drain.
Shadowstep: Steps into a shadow, and appears from another shadow within 10 miles. The greater the distance, the longer it takes, the more area of error there may be, and the more draining it is.
Bloodwalk: Gavin steps into the blood of any living creature except himself though a wound of some kind, and then reappears out of blood of any other living thing. This can cause him to travel vast distances in a blink, though it is severely draining on him.
Planestep: Shifts the plane that Gavin is on. Effects vary based on the plane chosen.
Wildwalk: Gavin calls upon the earth itself to guide him somewhere. The earth responds by showing him the fastest way to the chosen place, and also allows him to make the trip in less than two hours on average.
Levitate: Rather self explanatory, Gavin can float in the air for extended periods of time.
Speed of Thought: Allows Gavin to move faster than normal for about an hour. This drains him a bit more than normal.
Speed beyond Thought: Only for use in emergencies, Gavin becomes a living blur, increasing his speed nearly thirtyfold for up to two hours. However, while in this state, Gavin is unable to concentrate on anything but running. As soon as the effect runs out, he must eat immediately or face starvation or enter hunger frenzy.
Endurance: When needed, Gavin can go for up to three days without sustenance or any need to tend to his bodys needs (except wounds).

Weapons/Items:
Bag of holding looks like a normal small bag, until one realizes that it can hold up to 4000 lb. of stuff, and still only weighs 1 lb and takes up a small amount of space. Also, it seems to know what hes looking for in it, and its the first thing he finds in the bag.

Weapons: Baal Fire Sword (A blade enchanted with Baals Fire, a potent Hellfire that can burn and corrupt what it hits), Leviathans Staff (A staff with powers over ice and water), Zeuss Hands (Chain gloves that allows him to throw thunderbolts, much like the god Zeus). Only one of these weapons can be with him at a time. The other two must be kept in the Bag of Holding.

Armor: Hephaestuss Aegis A shield that can be wielded with any of the three weapons, it is a typical looking kite shield. The shield, though, is self-mending and nearly impenetrable. More often than not, this is left in the Bag of Holding.

Nature/Alignment: Chaotic Good

Special Notes: He is forever stuck at the physical age of 23. Also, he is immortal. All damage inflicted upon him will heal at some point, though in some cases it will leave him incapacitated for months. Also, the Baal Fire Sword, Leviathans Staff, Zeuss Hands, and Hephaestuss Aegis are soul bound to him, meaning that they cannot be removed from him, as it is his curse to bear alone.

Also, he knows how to play two instruments: Guitar and piano.

Name: Curran

Species: Flame Cat (Shifter)

Appearance:
Curran looks a lot like an anthropomorphic cat, with short, fire-red fur and green eyes. His build is lean with not too much muscle, and he is a little short, standing at about 5 feet in height. He wears simple mage's robes, which have slightly glowing runes inscribed on the sleeves, denoting his rank (they have no special properties, but are often thought to possess them). He sometimes carries a staff, or any other sturdy stick of sorts to use as a walking stick.

He can shift into the form of a cat. He is only slightly larger than an average domestic house cat in this form. He loses the ability to cast most spells in this form, but makes up for it with the grace and dexterity of a cat. He can also climb up things, though he has a bad tendency to get stuck in trees when he does so. When in this form, anything he had on his person (clothing, staff, everything) seems to disappear until Curran assumes his Anthro form again.

Personality:
Curran is a pacifist. He refuses to inflict fatal damage upon another sentient being in almost all circumstances. That being said, he is usually a very friendly cat, often treating people as friends even after a short time, as long as they haven't betrayed his trust or aroused suspicion. Sometimes he is a bit naive.

Curran does not follow any specific religion or deity. He is nearly incapable of holding a grudge, and he forgives easily if the person seems to mean it. More often than not, he is good at catching empty words, and if he catches someone using them, especially with him, he becomes rather unfriendly, though not openly hostile.

Curran is also unbelievably hard to anger. He keeps calm even in situations where it may seem almost impossible, because he knows that if he loses his temper, bad, bad things happen.

Abilities:
Fire Magic - Being a Flame Cat, Curran is a master of the arts of fire magic. He has also mastered the art of making his flames not cause collateral damage if he doesn't want it to, and often can make damage from a fire spell non-lethal. General manifestations of Curran's fire magic are small bolts of fire, fireballs with an explosive blast (again, they singe a little, but they will not light things on fire, in general). He can also heat up metals with this ability, and control small fires (up to a campfire) to shrink or grow a little. In general, firebolts put little strain on him, fireballs take a slightly larger portion, flame control is based on the fire's size and what Curran is trying to do, and heating is based on how hot and how quickly he wants to heat the metal.

Silver Magic - An old, almost lost magic, this magic is used almost exclusively for healing (Curran only knows of the healing properties. He may or may not learn more with experimentation). It can also help reduce the effects of disease, and even revive the fallen, if administered quickly and powerfully enough. It is powerful enough to heal even some mortal wounds, but in general, the worse the damage he's trying to heal, the greater the energy expenditure on his part.

Mega Destruction Flare - A very powerful incantation that embodies the very essence of fire magic. It is capable of massive destruction when used properly. It is not uncommon for those who know the spell to be war mages, as they are capable of leveling armies. It is a massive blast of unnaturally powerful flame that explodes over an area directed by Curran's casting (Though generally, it must be close to a circle, at most perhaps an oval). Once the blast is finished, "sticky" flames (like napalm in a way) stick onto those caught within it for about 15 seconds.

Flame Cat - Curran is utterly immune to fire due to the natural heat of his own body (his average body temperature is about 105 degrees F). However, he can light himself on fire (And douse said flames) at will. This is often used to deter an attacker, and the flames do not harm him or his equipment.

Disadvantages:
Flame Magic - Curran does not use most of this magic, because he thinks it too destructive. When he does, it is always going to cause no lasting harm or collateral damage, unless he puts a lot of concentration into it. While he is still powerful in this element, he is not as strong as he could be.

Silver Magic - Using Silver magic is draining on Curran. The more he tries to do with it, the quicker it drains him. It is not uncommon for him to fully heal a few heavily wounded allies or friends, only to pass out from the stress it puts on his mind.

Mega Destruction Flare - The incantation for this is roughly one minute in length, and requires perfect concentration to shape and manipulate the energies correctly. Any speaking or other distractions may cause undesirable effects, ranging from severe ghost pain to weakened casting, and possibly even unleashing the flare on himself (The flare is perhaps the only source of fire that can harm him). He would only use this spell under certain circumstances (saving more lives than it would cost, extreme duress, and a few others). However, this is often the last of last resorts to him. After casting this spell, it will most likely knock him out for a bit, and his magic will be severely weakened, taking up to a week to recover.

Flame Cat - Curran cannot stand being cold. Chilling him with ice or cold water will not only make him miserable, it will distract him and make him more prone to losing his temper. It also severely drains the power of his flame attacks. Often, if doused by water in the middle of trying to defend himself, he must focus for about twenty seconds to rebuild his body heat and eventually ignite himself again. Once ignited, it takes a further twenty seconds for his powers to reach their potential again.

Family: The Telion (An order of mages)

History:
Curran is a wandering mage belonging to an order called the Teilon. He was trained for most of his life to become an adept with magic, especially in his natural element, fire. However, it was soon found that Curran was pretty much a pacifist. In the forty years that he was being trained, he was beat up over 100 times, and he only fought back twice. Both times, though, the perpetrator gave him a lot of room whenever Curran was near. Even so, he had gained the reputation of a pacifist to those that know him.

However, as he was sent out into the world, he found that he was usually assumed to be some destructive psychopath due to his ability to manipulate fire so easily. That was when he took up training in an ancient healing magic. For ten years he focused exclusively on it, and came away with a much expanded ability to heal.

His first (and only) use of the famed Mega Destruction Flare was used to level a ghost city that had been overrun with Undead. Even so, Curran felt a bit of remorse for having destroyed so much, and he left to have some quiet reflection.

Said reflection didn't last long.

Anything Else We Need to Know?:
Curran is less hesitant to attack undead (because they're supposed to be dead), and has few issues fighting Outsiders (i.e demons and devils). However, he will still attack with attempted subdual attacks.

He is not afraid to hunt, either.

Name: Andromeda

Species: Half-Kyton (chain devil), Half-Elf

Appearance:
Andomeda's body shape is similar to that of a human woman around the age of 25. Her hair is chocolate brown, and goes to the bottom of her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a metallic gray, though they hold little shine. She has the typical pointed ears of an elf

Her skin is ashen, and her body is always about 5-10 degrees colder than that of a human. From her back, chains are seemingly fused into her very body, though how they are anchored in her is unknown. Twelve chains form two rows of six, parallel to her spine, one row to the left, and one side to the right. These chains can either be left outside her clothing, where they form two large, mostly incomplete wings (they are purely ornamental, however, when it comes to flight). If she wants to be more subtle about them, they wrap forwards about her body, forming a sort of protective armor along her upper and mid-torso.

Around both her wrists are two chains (one per arm), which loop around her wrists once, then wrap up along her arms, reaching her shoulder and then stopping. She wears a lot of black clothing, as well. Black boots, black pants, black vest. In place of a belt, she wears two chains, wrapped about her waist three times each, forming an "x" shape. Oddly, when she moves, the chains make little noise (though it is still easier to hear her), and seem to not weigh her down as much as they should.

Personality:

Andromeda is rather quiet, usually. She likes to observe anything, whether a conflict or another person, before engaging in conversation, combat, or anything of the sort. However, if surprised, she is more than willing to maim first, ask questions later. She has grown accustomed to using her abilities to help her reach places she would otherwise be unable to reach, though she is somewhat hesitant to use them too much, because she doesn't want to become lazy.

She doesn't mind having allies. Friends have proven to be almost beyond her capabilities, though, because most are repelled by her heritage or by the odd powers she possesses.

Abilities:

Chain Control - A trait inherited from her Kyton mother, Andromeda is able to directly control up to four chains at once to do many things, from moving to sprouting something at the end (a steel rose, or a claw, for instance), as well as lengthen or shorten a chain by up to 10 feet. She can bypass her usual limit to control either of the rows on her back as a single entity, but all the chains must perform the same action. This, however, is much more taxing on her mental ability. She is quite adept at using these chains as weapons.

Longevity - Andromeda has the capability to live a very, very long time, due to the mix of elven and Kyton blood in her. She also heals somewhat fast.

Cold - Cold-related powers and conditions have little, if any effect on Andromeda.

Disadvantages:

Chain Control - Andromeda can only control two chains at a time before she starts getting a strain put upon her. Three chains can be controlled for about five minutes, and four chains can only be controlled for perhaps a minute before the strain causes her mental control to give out, which causes the chains to become lifeless. When controlling four chains, she has a tendency to miss obvious things due to concentration on the chains.

Body structure - Andromeda's body structure is more similar to her father's, meaning she is lithe. Unfortunately for her, though, this means that she is not as capable of taking impacts. It also means that the weight of her chains slows her from very agile to only somewhat above average.

Heat - Direct and powerful heat can heat up Andromeda's chains, causing her quite a bit of pain.

Family:

Drake - Father, a High Elf.
Kessana - Mother, a Kyton (Chain Devil). Deceased.

History:

Andromeda was born into a heritage that immediately alienated her from both races that created her. Elves despise her for her devil heritage, and Kytons would kill her on sight for not being a pureblood. She was raised in relative isolation, then, by her parents, and oddly, her mother did not insist that Andromeda be raised as a devil would. Kessana instead allowed her child to be raised to be good, a task which would be more than a little difficult, as Andromeda would be met with hostility from others, most likely.

As she grew up mentally (Her physical body matured in about 6 years), her mother taught her the basic methods of controlling the twelve chains that she had been born with, and her Father taught her basic combat using daggers and claws. Both trainings allowed Andromeda to use her chains, often modified to have simple claws or even short blades on them, as a combat art.

This combat art was put to an unexpected and tragic test when Andromeda was 57. Other Kytons had learned of Kessana having consorted with an elf, and they had been tracking her down for quite some time. They attacked the family, taking them mostly be surprise. All three fought against the attackers, and though they fought fiercely to defend their home and each other, but the battle was hopeless. Kessana made a final stand, using all the power she had to hold off the attackers while Drake took Andromeda to safety.

This event caused a lot of distress to Andromeda, and she slowly changed from a rather outgoing and somewhat reckless person to an introverted, cautious person. She was determined to never allow Kytons to take her by surprise again, especially because she knew they were still after her. Even in the vast wilds, she knew that one day she'd have to fight.

The time came, however, that she had to leave her father. She left her father in the care of the great elven nation that they had resided in. She then found a resident mage, who, after an explanation of Andromeda's situation, was more than happy to transport her to a different plane of existence.

Anything Else We Need to Know?:

Each chain on Andromeda's body has a total length of about 10 feet.

The chains are almost impossible to break, seeming to be made of adamantium, if not something even stronger. They are also lighter than one would think, providing less of a hindrance to Andromeda.

Name: He has a name, but to hear it is to invite unpleasant things. The only name he gives is Rommel

Appearance: Rommel's normal appearance is a rather ghastly one. He seems to be a thing out of a nightmare, a featureless, roughly humanoid shape appearing to be made of a thick inky stuff that trails off into a smoky vapor near the bottom. The form has no legs, and the arms end within a cloak-like mass of the inky substance. His very form shifts and writhes chaotically, as if tormented on the outside just as his mind is tormented. Aside from the shroud he seems to be veiled with, if not made of, a faint trace of fog follows him about.

Personality:

Rommel is not all there mentally. His contact with the Creator God, as well as his very presence within the Throne of Chaos, has helped twist his view of everything. However, he is not always a rambling fool. In fact, he is often rather intelligent and decently spoken, though it is sometimes apparent that he's teetering on the brink of insane. The only time he starts delving deeper into the mindset of chaos is when he invokes some of his powers.

Rommel holds grudges. It is ingrained in his mind deeply enough that revenge is a basic thing to him. He tends to know if he's been slighted, and has a rough time forgetting the names or faces of those involved until he exacts his revenge.

Rommel believes in deities. They are not kind and loving deities, instead, they are cruel and often torturous to him when they need him. He obeys their wills without question, because such requests are few, and to defy his gods is to suffer unspeakable tortures for all of time. More often than not, his patron deity asks him to do some rather odd things, like standing still for five minutes. Such requests are not unwelcome, because he knows it could be harder.

Abilities:

Ghost's touch - Rommel, despite being a normally incorporeal creature, can take on a physical state for a time. He gives up the advantages of being incorporeal to be able to manipulate real objects for a time.

Gifts of the Creator God - Rommel can summon forth nightmarish creatures of various sizes to assist him. They can be: Up to three Ghouls, a pair of Mi-Go, or a Shoggoth. He can also summon, for a brief moment, a Dark Young. He is also able to cast "taint" about himself, which slowly eats away at things caught within the clouds.

Madness - Any creature foolish or curious to probe the mind of Rommel does so at a price. The initial mental link causes a rather painful backlash. If this does not sever the connection immediately, glancing into the chaotic madness that is Rommel's subconscious can mesmerize, daze, or severely confuse. Upon the severing of a link (if it's not immediately cut by the initial backlash), it causes extreme mental pain, often disabling the victim for a good ten to thirty seconds.

Disadvantages:

Ghost's Touch - Rommel cannot normally influence the material world without the use of mental power. When he turns physical, he becomes vulnerable to physical damage, especially fire.

Gifts of the Creator God - Rommel must pay a price each time he uses the powers granted by his god. The power of the ability determines the toll it takes on his sanity. If he overuses these abilities, he descends into true madness for a time, and will either lash out at any threat, real or perceived, or he will simply flee. He also mumbles things to himself constantly in this state. Listening to the mumbling is inviting disaster, as the very words, if clearly heard, carry taint upon them. Rommel himself also becomes tainted, and if he is not given time to rest or recover, he will slowly kill himself again.

Madness - The backlash of the mental link makes it hard for telepaths to speak to him, as he causes pain to them. Even if he seems sane on the outside, his mental state is always chaos.

Family:

None. He has brief remembrances of some people, but they are always in a haze of confusion.

History:

Rommel was once a man by the name of Aaron Meyer. He led a very average life for quite some time, until he was about 30. That was when, by a mix of circumstance and curiosity, he found an old, ancient cult devoted to a great being known as the Creator God. After the initial curiosity, he began to attend meetings of this cult, having been invited back by the leader. Something in Aaron changed as he attended these meetings. Some said he had strokes of utter brilliance one day, followed by mad incoherence the next day. However, Aaron slowly integrated into the cult, learning that perhaps one of the few laws was that one never spoke the God's name aloud, and that he would never learn the names of the high priests, who had undergone a strange ritual. He gave up everything he had, eventually, to be in the cult, and over the twenty years of his service, he came to be what others called a "Messenger" of the chaotic god.

His ascension to a high priest was inevitable. The man was brilliant, yet also a little scary to some. This all ended, though, when, in a fit of madness, Rommel took his own life in a horribly gruesome ritual in dedication to his god.

He remembers very little of what he saw as he died. All he remembered was the chaos around him, and he knew that he had seen the throne of Chaos, the residence of the Creator God. He also remembers signing, in his own blood, a book, and taking a new name, and with the name, he was granted powers. He has since found out why no high priest's true name had never been known. It was impossible to utter without dire consequences to those present, not to mention that it was nearly impossible to speak. It was then that he took the nickname "Rommel".

He did not return to the mortal plane, though, as a human. He was returned as something else, a terrible black shade that struck the minds of the humans who saw him with panic and chaos. He remained for many years, working in the name of his God. But, as the requests went, he was called to a new world altogether…

And this is where his story leaves off.

Description/Appearance: Aleis is humanoid in body shape, except that she has furry cat-like ears in the place of humanlike ears, as well as a light tan fur that covers her entire body. Her body is lean, yet muscular. She wears a cloak made of dimsilk, a material that bends light and makes it hard to determine her exact body shape. Her eyes are a red color. Sometimes she decides to not wear the dimsilk in favor of ritualistic troll clothing. She has even learned some basic shamanistic magic, something that she knew little of at the start.

Abilities/Magicks: Shaddaha (Blade Dancer fighting style), Psionic blast, Shamanistic magic
Weapons/Items: A tn (a transmutable blade), and claws.

Special Notes: She joined the Tana when she was 24, and trained, usually in the company of Rey, her friend and rival. She wears her rank band around her neck, the assassin's symbol.

Aleis can speak Chakran, English, and Troll fluently, and can speak Orc, "Beast", Demonic, and Goblin relatively well.

Description/Appearance: Similar to Aleis', but with a male body shape and darker fur, as well as dark blue eyes. His form is also a little more bulked out than Aleis'. Reyash is quieter and more job-oriented than Aleis is, but once he's gotten used to someone, he is really quite friendly. He chose the path of the guardian to protect Aleis, but he is also willing to protect those that he thinks is worth protecting.

Abilities/Magicks: Shaddaha (Blade Dancer fighting style), shadow magicks, illusion magicks, and a psionic shock technique

Weapons/Items:A tn (a transmutable blade), and claws.

Special Notes: He's trained with Aleis for his entire career as a blade dancer. She is his greatest rival. He wears his rank band around his arm, the guardian's symbol.

Reyash speaks Chakran and English, and can speak Orc, Gnomish, and Elven.

Background: Rey and Aleis are the last two survivors of a massacre of their clan on a planet that is nonexistent in this dimension. Swearing revenge, they traveled to the planet Reytalon to train as Blade Dancers, the most feared and respected mercenary warriors in their galaxy. They advanced at roughly the same pace, working their way through the rigorous, and sometimes nearly fatal training. Rey graduated to the rank of Blade Dancer a few days before Aleis, and they have stayed together ever since, taking on jobs together. On one particular mission, they encountered a spatial anomaly known as an Ion Well in their journey. They were pulled into it despite their best attempts to escape it. The Ion Well acted as a portal, and pushed the two Chakrans into this world.

When Reyash came to, Aleis was nowhere to be found. He searched the area for months, but couldn't find her. He then came across probably the only way to reach her, which was to make himself known as a mercenary assassin and warrior. Unfortunately, he needed to find a way to make himself known and stay alive at the same time. He trained with some of the best warriors, particularly Elven and Orc warriors. During his training, Elven mages found him to be rather adept at working with shadow and illusion magics, and trained him in their uses. He is waiting to become more powerful before going out and making a name for himself.

Aleis woke in a camp of shamanistic trolls. They believed her to be an incarnation of a cat goddess, and kept her. This was originally against her will, but she eventually fell into the style of life she chose, as an incarnation of wrath against the enemies of these trolls. She learned the troll language and rituals, as well as other language of the allies of the trolls. She continues this lifestyle in hopes of becoming known among the world, with the hopes of Reyash finding out and maybe finding her.

Name: Akroma

Appearance:
Akroma has a rather simple appearance. She has long, brown hair, and her eyes are orange-red. She wears light armor, the chestpiece consisting of cloth overlaid with metal strips in an X pattern. The weak points on her sides are reinforced with black dragonscale. She wears thigh-length leather chausses with dragonscale covering, effectively protecting her legs. Her arms are covered to just past the elbow with a strange rubbery substance that is flexible and quite surprisingly tough. She generally wears simple boots over her chausses, so that traversing terrain doesn't wear down the chausses too badly.

It is sometimes said that green lightning or auras are about her, but these things are few, and mostly unconfirmed.

Personality:
Akroma is generally gentle and patient with others, which her brothers consider strange because of her powers, which are chaotic. However, she does not contact other beings that much. She was raised and trained among the leaders of a great magi-tech nation, and so Akroma spends most of her time bettering her inventions. Her most notable invention so far is a bird construct, which obeys her commands. This bird is often sighted following her or perched on her shoulder. She seems to talk to this bird more than she speaks to other people. However, if approached, she will not shy away from conversation. It is apparent when she speaks that she's rather intelligent. She believes in no specific deity, but instead, she believes in the concept of balance between light and darkness. She will aim to balance any conflict between good and evil through whatever means are at her disposal.

Abilities:
Chaos - Akroma controls the very essence of chaos, and is able to manipulate it into blasts, bolts, explosions, and the like. The energy, being chaotic, has a tendency to explode on contact depending on the power behind the attack. She is mostly immune to her own explosions.

Mechanical Genius - Akroma loves to build, and has been practicing the skill for many hundreds of years. With the right materials (pretty much any metal and some tools), she can build lots of interesting things, ranging from grenades to constructs to weapons. She is also a bit of an alchemist, and knows some rather interesting formulas, though more often than not she doesn't bother doing new things with it.

Regeneration - Akroma's healing can be sped up to amazing rates with the right amount of energy input. She can also heal most damage done to her over time.

Disadvantages:
Chaos - as the name implies, Akroma's energy has a potential of backfiring. She must also let out some of her energyevery so often, as containing too much chaos energy for an extended period of time is generally unhealthy.

Regeneration Burn - Triggering her regeneration is a little difficult to do at times, and when it does trigger, it almost immediately drains all her energy, putting it towards healing.

Appearance:

Kain looks to be rather human, except in a few key manners. His eyes glow with an unearthly red aura, perhaps the most noticeable trait on him. He is rather muscular, and shows no sign of aging past perhaps 20. However, this is not what sets him apart from humans the most. It's what he wears.

Kain is most often seen in a rather intimidating suit of battle armor. It seems almost too heavy to carry, but Kain carries it with surprising ease due to his physical power, gained from his demonic bloodline. The armor covers the whole body, leaving "soft" (But still rather durable) spots at the backs and sides of the knees, and inside the elbows, as well at at the neck (provided his attacker can get inside the protective plate just outside his helmet). The armor is blood red, trimmed in orange and a bit of yellow, and there is an emblem on his shoulders of a flame, with the badge "Hellfire" beneath the one on his right shoulder. This armor draws chemicals and elements from the surroundings and "feeds" them to Kain, effectively making him not need food or water as long as he wears the armor.

Aside from the armor, Kain carries two weapons on his person: a manhunter (An unholy scythe), and his basic plasma rifle. The manhunter lets off a dark aura. This aura makes it stronger against good-aligned enemies, and a bit weaker against evil-aligned enemies. The rifle fires small bursts (3 shots) of white-hot plasma at opponents. This is nice, except for the fact that it can only fire 4 bursts before it must charge for 15 minutes.

Personality:
Kain can be described rather easily: a psychopath with a homicidal streak.

To describe this better, it must first be noted that Kain hears voices regularly. It's not clear to anyone whether it's from another being that is speaking mentally to him, or if he truly has "voices in his head", but they are still dangerous nonetheless. These voices keep Kain teetering between sane and insane, and all it takes is a little push to drive him mad for a time. It's a good thing he never needs to sleep, because he would inevitably have nightmares (though he'd call them good dreams) of massacres and other horrific acts. There is only one voice in his head that he knows the name of, and that's his personal demon, Gekis.

Another note is Kain's insatiable hatred for humans. Merely mentioning a human near him will result in a "twitch", usually consisting of a few plasma bursts or a swinging manhunter in that general direction.

Abilities:
Ageless: Kain does not age due to his demonic pacts and heritage
Berserker strength: when pushed over the edge, Kain's strength increases, he stops feeling pain, and it takes a lot to stop him without bloodshed.
Veteran: Few things surprise Kain any more. He's seen everything, it seems: machines bent on the eradication of all things biological, space elves, hurricanes made of souls, and his own kind. Not to mention he's fought against or amongst all of them countless times.
Bloodthirster: When pushed to the extremes of his limits, Kain loses control of his own body and gives in to the posession of a powerful Bloodthirster demon named Gekis. Gekis delights in destroying things, which is why he's pretty much only let out as a last of last resorts. In some cases, Kain is extremely reluctant to let out Gekis, and will actualy fight to keep the demon inside.

Disadvantages:
Insane: Kain's demonic pacts keep Kain on edge constantly, making him prone to doing stupid things.
Berserker's destruction: When pushed over the edge, Kain has a terribly difficult time telling friend from foe.
Twitchy: When Kain is surprised, he tends to shoot first, then wonder what the hell it was.
Bloodthirster: Kain cannot control Gekis, though he can hold some sway over what Gekis destroys first. Kain must also remove his armor before he can be posessed, which often means he needs to plan way ahead, or at least find refuge to take off the armor (taking off his armor is almost impossible alone, and even with help, takes about 20 minutes).

Family:
The voices in his head are Kain's only family, and that's not saying much. However, one particular voice, named Gekis, has actually spoken to him.

History:
Kain wasn't really born. He was just melded and formed into existence by his own brethren and the demons that they embraced. At "birth", a young demon was also planted mentally into the boy's subconscious. As he grew, Kain was trained in the art of warfare using typical weapons that the Chaos acquired from raiding the vessels of Space Marines. He took to them and learned extremely fast, even among the Chaos, who lived for war in the name of their dark gods. He was made an officer via a brutal ritual which neither he nor Gekis will speak of, ever, to anyone, no matter what.

He led many successful squads in some of the Black Crusades against the human Imperium for some time, as well as fighting skirmishes here and there against invading forces of other races. He ven fought on the cursed planet Kronus, and was one of the many forces that helped annihalate all opposition and secure the planet for the Chaos.

He was given praise for his efforts, and was sent off as an "ambassador" to other worlds.

Appearance: Malik's true form is a humanoid that is a little lanky, its limbs seeming weaker than they really are. Its face has very blank features, being very hard to remember or make out in a crowd. He has no hair. However, that is how he likes it.

More often than not, though, Malik is seen in a different form entirely. Being a doppelganger, Malik is able to transform fully into anything that he can observe for a time. He can assume most any form he sees, and so he has spent time as almost every race, gender, and species he's seen.

Personality: Malik enjoys causing trouble. It has trouble entering and leaving any civilized area without causing some style of disturbance, whether it's a bar brawl or a theft. Most of the time, it does things like this to test itself. Of co.urse, the extra coin never hurts, whether from stealing a gem or picking a pocket.

Abilities:
Doppelganger - Given about a minute or two of observation, Malik can take the form of almost anything it observes. It copies the form, size, physical characteristics, and most powers of the thing it copies. It can make minor modifications if it desires, but nothing huge. It retains his mental facilities in all forms, though, which can make it smarter (or ocassionally not as smart as) the general population of the thing he copies.
Magic - Malik is a master of illusion magic, and transmutation magic. It doesn't use it often, but when it does, it's often for a good reason.

Disadvantages:
Doppelganger - Anyone who knows of Malik's true nature is unlikely to believe anything it says
Magic - Malik isn't really any good at any other magic, and can't use much of it, even if he can use it well.

Family: None

History: Malik doesn't remember its parents. It was raised by another doppelganger, who taught Malik to be a masterful rogue. By the time malik was 5, it was on par with most human thieves, and at the age of 8, it could easily have taken over the local crime, but it didn't, instead preferring to simply cause problems for crime, organized and disorganized alike. It left without warning at the age of 9 to explore the world. By that time, it had grown comfortable with the body of an elf or human, but it wanted to explore and learn more. It has spent most of its life wandering and watching, trying out new forms whenever possible.

Occupation: Assassin, contract killer, murderer, psychopath, Halloween entertainment
Personality: Somewhat stoic, minor God-complex, somewhat crazy, and occasionally quite sadistic. However, on night of full and almost-full moons, he is docile, calm, and sometimes even sociable.
Backstory: Vesk never knew his parents. He was in the care of a small group of thieves, oddly enough, who seemed to see something in Vesk. He was raised a thief, trained in the use of various weapons, and slowly became the assassin he is today over the course of the first 25 years of his life. For seven years, he was a terror to his victims, a point of pride and jealousy to other assassins, and in general, enough of a threat to end up as one of the most wanted in the world of Aeria. At the age of 32, He was finally caught by a mix of betrayal and minor carelessness. He was given no trial. He was simply executed by hanging.

All was quiet for about 100 years. However, it was then that a necromancer, cornered by guards and on his last breath, gave his life force to the inhabitant of a lone, abandoned grave. Vesk rose from that grave, and seeing what happened, he took up the necromancer's blade, and fought off the guards, almost losing as his body was forced to readjust to unlife. He managed to kill off the guards, though. He took up the necromancer's robe, scythe, and blade, and buried the man in the grave that had previously been his own. After a thorough destruction of the headstone, he went about making his name known again, to be spoken only in fear...

Physical Features: Vesk looks somewhat skeletal, perhaps a product of his unlife. Strangely, though, he does not seem decayed or damaged otherwise. He had two parallel scars that run from his left shoulder down his back to about his right hip. His eyes have an unnatural glow to them at times, particularly when he's feeling a little deranged or excited.
Clothing: Vesk tends to wear a tattered black necromancer's robe, which has been repaired and mended multiple times. He also wears a strange helmet that hides his features in shadow, except for his eyes.
Equipment:
Thanatos - Vesk's scythe. Made of black Mithral, he perfers to fight with this weapon. It is an unholy weapon, and will strike angels and other good-aligned beings more powerfully.
Orcus - A gladius, also forged of black mithral. Very light, used if the enemy is adamant on close range combat and Vesk cannot outmaneuver them. Wounds caused by this weapon bleed more, and take much longer to heal.
Cerberus - Vesk's helmet. It grants him the ability to see through all kinds of darkness. It is very light, and shrouds his features (except his eyes) in complete, impenetrable darkness.
Nyx's Embrace - Vesk's robes. They are enchanted in such a way that they will help Vesk be silent and/or hidden when he wants.
Inventory: Vesk carries some poisons on him, but not much else.

He wears light clothing more often than not, but he changes when it is necessary (If hes going to cold climates or other places that require a large change). His eyes are naturally hazel, and his hair is naturally brown, but the curse upon him made his hair completely white and turned his eyes crimson. Background: Gavin was a typical troublemaker. From a young age, he was a thief, and a damned good one. He was rarely caught, and most of the time, he could get out of it. However, he was forced to learn the ways of a mage by his father, an arch wizard. He absolutely hated this forced path for over three years. That is, until he found the wonder of travel magic. While most of the spells were used for quick long range transport, he found that they could be modified into the perfect set of thiefs tools. He took this on for quite some time. When he reached the age of 23, he put them to practical use. This caused him to come across a legendary artifact known as the Baal Fire sword. He took it, heedless of warnings. It was only later that he found that it had frozen his aging process forever and that it corrupted what it touched. He had a special sheath made for the weapon, and set out to find a way to break its hold on him at his fathers request. Never one to break with old habits, Gavin soon found himself in possession of Zeuss Hands, Leviathans Staff, and Hephaestuss Aegis. All of them were merely things to show off for him, as they were thought to be unattainable by mortals. Even master thieves had fallen trying to get them. It has remained a secret that Gavins aging is forever halted, and he intends to keep it that way. He wanders across the planes and the world, seemingly forgetting his original quest in favor of adventuring. Abilities/Magicks: Blink: A short range teleport, able to be used in quick succession without any drain. Shadowstep: Steps into a shadow, and appears from another shadow within 10 miles. The greater the distance, the longer it takes, the more area of error there may be, and the more draining it is. Bloodwalk: Gavin steps into the blood of any living creature except himself though a wound of some kind, and then reappears out of blood of any other living thing. This can cause him to travel vast distances in a blink, though it is severely draining on him. Planestep: Shifts the plane that Gavin is on. Effects vary based on the plane chosen. Wildwalk: Gavin calls upon the earth itself to guide him somewhere. The earth responds by showing him the fastest way to the chosen place, and also allows him to make the trip in less than two hours on average. Levitate: Rather self explanatory, Gavin can float in the air for extended periods of time. Speed of Thought: Allows Gavin to move faster than normal for about an hour. This drains him a bit more than normal. Speed beyond Thought: Only for use in emergencies, Gavin becomes a living blur, increasing his speed nearly thirtyfold for up to two hours. However, while in this state, Gavin is unable to concentrate on anything but running. As soon as the effect runs out, he must eat immediately or face starvation or enter hunger frenzy. Endurance: When needed, Gavin can go for up to three days without sustenance or any need to tend to his bodys needs (except wounds). Weapons/Items: Bag of holding looks like a normal small bag, until one realizes that it can hold up to 4000 lb. of stuff, and still only weighs 1 lb and takes up a small amount of space. Also, it seems to know what hes looking for in it, and its the first thing he finds in the bag. Weapons: Baal Fire Sword (A blade enchanted with Baals Fire, a potent Hellfire that can burn and corrupt what it hits), Leviathans Staff (A staff with powers over ice and water), Zeuss Hands (Chain gloves that allows him to throw thunderbolts, much like the god Zeus). Only one of these weapons can be with him at a time. The other two must be kept in the Bag of Holding. Armor: Hephaestuss Aegis A shield that can be wielded with any of the three weapons, it is a typical looking kite shield. The shield, though, is self-mending and nearly impenetrable. More often than not, this is left in the Bag of Holding. Nature/Alignment: Chaotic Good Special Notes: He is forever stuck at the physical age of 23. Also, he is immortal. All damage inflicted upon him will heal at some point, though in some cases it will leave him incapacitated for months. Also, the Baal Fire Sword, Leviathans Staff, Zeuss Hands, and Hephaestuss Aegis are soul bound to him, meaning that they cannot be removed from him, as it is his curse to bear alone. His build is lean with not too much muscle, and he is a little short, standing at about 5 feet in height. He wears simple mage's robes, which have slightly glowing runes inscribed on the sleeves, denoting his rank (they have no special properties, but are often thought to possess them). He sometimes carries a staff, or any other sturdy stick of sorts to use as a walking stick. He can shift into the form of a cat. He is only slightly larger than an average domestic house cat in this form. He loses the ability to cast most spells in this form, but makes up for it with the grace and dexterity of a cat. He can also climb up things, though he has a bad tendency to get stuck in trees when he does so. When in this form, anything he had on his person (clothing, staff, everything) seems to disappear until Curran assumes his Anthro form again. Personality: Curran is a pacifist. He refuses to inflict fatal damage upon another sentient being in almost all circumstances. That being said, he is usually a very friendly cat, often treating people as friends even after a short time, as long as they haven't betrayed his trust or aroused suspicion. Sometimes he is a bit naive. Curran does not follow any specific religion or deity. He is nearly incapable of holding a grudge, and he forgives easily if the person seems to mean it. More often than not, he is good at catching empty words, and if he catches someone using them, especially with him, he becomes rather unfriendly, though not openly hostile. Curran is also unbelievably hard to anger. He keeps calm even in situations where it may seem almost impossible, because he knows that if he loses his temper, bad, bad things happen. Abilities: Fire Magic - Being a Flame Cat, Curran is a master of the arts of fire magic. He has also mastered the art of making his flames not cause collateral damage if he doesn't want it to, and often can make damage from a fire spell non-lethal. General manifestations of Curran's fire magic are small bolts of fire, fireballs with an explosive blast (again, they singe a little, but they will not light things on fire, in general). He can also heat up metals with this ability, and control small fires (up to a campfire) to shrink or grow a little. In general, firebolts put little strain on him, fireballs take a slightly larger portion, flame control is based on the fire's size and what Curran is trying to do, and heating is based on how hot and how quickly he wants to heat the metal. Silver Magic - An old, almost lost magic, this magic is used almost exclusively for healing (Curran only knows of the healing properties. He may or may not learn more with experimentation). It can also help reduce the effects of disease, and even revive the fallen, if administered quickly and powerfully enough. It is powerful enough to heal even some mortal wounds, but in general, the worse the damage he's trying to heal, the greater the energy expenditure on his part. Mega Destruction Flare - A very powerful incantation that embodies the very essence of fire magic. It is capable of massive destruction when used properly. It is not uncommon for those who know the spell to be war mages, as they are capable of leveling armies. It is a massive blast of unnaturally powerful flame that explodes over an area directed by Curran's casting (Though generally, it must be close to a circle, at most perhaps an oval). Once the blast is finished, "sticky" flames (like napalm in a way) stick onto those caught within it for about 15 seconds. Flame Cat - Curran is utterly immune to fire due to the natural heat of his own body (his average body temperature is about 105 degrees F). However, he can light himself on fire (And douse said flames) at will. This is often used to deter an attacker, and the flames do not harm him or his equipment. Disadvantages: Flame Magic - Curran does not use most of this magic, because he thinks it too destructive. When he does, it is always going to cause no lasting harm or collateral damage, unless he puts a lot of concentration into it. While he is still powerful in this element, he is not as strong as he could be. Silver Magic - Using Silver magic is draining on Curran. The more he tries to do with it, the quicker it drains him. It is not uncommon for him to fully heal a few heavily wounded allies or friends, only to pass out from the stress it puts on his mind. Mega Destruction Flare - The incantation for this is roughly one minute in length, and requires perfect concentration to shape and manipulate the energies correctly. Any speaking or other distractions may cause undesirable effects, ranging from severe ghost pain to weakened casting, and possibly even unleashing the flare on himself (The flare is perhaps the only source of fire that can harm him). He would only use this spell under certain circumstances (saving more lives than it would cost, extreme duress, and a few others). However, this is often the last of last resorts to him. After casting this spell, it will most likely knock him out for a bit, and his magic will be severely weakened, taking up to a week to recover. Flame Cat - Curran cannot stand being cold. Chilling him with ice or cold water will not only make him miserable, it will distract him and make him more prone to losing his temper. It also severely drains the power of his flame attacks. Often, if doused by water in the middle of trying to defend himself, he must focus for about twenty seconds to rebuild his body heat and eventually ignite himself again. Once ignited, it takes a further twenty seconds for his powers to reach their potential again. Family: The Telion (An order of mages) History: Curran is a wandering mage belonging to an order called the Teilon. He was trained for most of his life to become an adept with magic, especially in his natural element, fire. However, it was soon found that Curran was pretty much a pacifist. In the forty years that he was being trained, he was beat up over 100 times, and he only fought back twice. Both times, though, the perpetrator gave him a lot of room whenever Curran was near. Even so, he had gained the reputation of a pacifist to those that know him. However, as he was sent out into the world, he found that he was usually assumed to be some destructive psychopath due to his ability to manipulate fire so easily. That was when he took up training in an ancient healing magic. For ten years he focused exclusively on it, and came away with a much expanded ability to heal. His first (and only) use of the famed Mega Destruction Flare was used to level a ghost city that had been overrun with Undead. Even so, Curran felt a bit of remorse for having destroyed so much, and he left to have some quiet reflection. Said reflection didn't last long. Anything Else We Need to Know?: Curran is less hesitant to attack undead (because they're supposed to be dead), and has few issues fighting Outsiders (i.e demons and devils). Her hair is chocolate brown, and goes to the bottom of her shoulder blades. Her eyes are a metallic gray, though they hold little shine. She has the typical pointed ears of an elf Her skin is ashen, and her body is always about 5-10 degrees colder than that of a human. From her back, chains are seemingly fused into her very body, though how they are anchored in her is unknown. Twelve chains form two rows of six, parallel to her spine, one row to the left, and one side to the right. These chains can either be left outside her clothing, where they form two large, mostly incomplete wings (they are purely ornamental, however, when it comes to flight). If she wants to be more subtle about them, they wrap forwards about her body, forming a sort of protective armor along her upper and mid-torso. Around both her wrists are two chains (one per arm), which loop around her wrists once, then wrap up along her arms, reaching her shoulder and then stopping. She wears a lot of black clothing, as well. Black boots, black pants, black vest. In place of a belt, she wears two chains, wrapped about her waist three times each, forming an "x" shape. Oddly, when she moves, the chains make little noise (though it is still easier to hear her), and seem to not weigh her down as much as they should. Personality: Andromeda is rather quiet, usually. She likes to observe anything, whether a conflict or another person, before engaging in conversation, combat, or anything of the sort. However, if surprised, she is more than willing to maim first, ask questions later. She has grown accustomed to using her abilities to help her reach places she would otherwise be unable to reach, though she is somewhat hesitant to use them too much, because she doesn't want to become lazy. She doesn't mind having allies. Friends have proven to be almost beyond her capabilities, though, because most are repelled by her heritage or by the odd powers she possesses. Abilities: Chain Control - A trait inherited from her Kyton mother, Andromeda is able to directly control up to four chains at once to do many things, from moving to sprouting something at the end (a steel rose, or a claw, for instance), as well as lengthen or shorten a chain by up to 10 feet. She can bypass her usual limit to control either of the rows on her back as a single entity, but all the chains must perform the same action. This, however, is much more taxing on her mental ability. She is quite adept at using these chains as weapons. Longevity - Andromeda has the capability to live a very, very long time, due to the mix of elven and Kyton blood in her. She also heals somewhat fast. Cold - Cold-related powers and conditions have little, if any effect on Andromeda. Disadvantages: Chain Control - Andromeda can only control two chains at a time before she starts getting a strain put upon her. Three chains can be controlled for about five minutes, and four chains can only be controlled for perhaps a minute before the strain causes her mental control to give out, which causes the chains to become lifeless. When controlling four chains, she has a tendency to miss obvious things due to concentration on the chains. Body structure - Andromeda's body structure is more similar to her father's, meaning she is lithe. Unfortunately for her, though, this means that she is not as capable of taking impacts. It also means that the weight of her chains slows her from very agile to only somewhat above average. Heat - Direct and powerful heat can heat up Andromeda's chains, causing her quite a bit of pain. Family: Drake - Father, a High Elf. Kessana - Mother, a Kyton (Chain Devil). Deceased. History: Andromeda was born into a heritage that immediately alienated her from both races that created her. Elves despise her for her devil heritage, and Kytons would kill her on sight for not being a pureblood. She was raised in relative isolation, then, by her parents, and oddly, her mother did not insist that Andromeda be raised as a devil would. Kessana instead allowed her child to be raised to be good, a task which would be more than a little difficult, as Andromeda would be met with hostility from others, most likely. As she grew up mentally (Her physical body matured in about 6 years), her mother taught her the basic methods of controlling the twelve chains that she had been born with, and her Father taught her basic combat using daggers and claws. Both trainings allowed Andromeda to use her chains, often modified to have simple claws or even short blades on them, as a combat art. This combat art was put to an unexpected and tragic test when Andromeda was 57. Other Kytons had learned of Kessana having consorted with an elf, and they had been tracking her down for quite some time. They attacked the family, taking them mostly be surprise. All three fought against the attackers, and though they fought fiercely to defend their home and each other, but the battle was hopeless. Kessana made a final stand, using all the power she had to hold off the attackers while Drake took Andromeda to safety. This event caused a lot of distress to Andromeda, and she slowly changed from a rather outgoing and somewhat reckless person to an introverted, cautious person. She was determined to never allow Kytons to take her by surprise again, especially because she knew they were still after her. Even in the vast wilds, she knew that one day she'd have to fight. The time came, however, that she had to leave her father. She left her father in the care of the great elven nation that they had resided in. She then found a resident mage, who, after an explanation of Andromeda's situation, was more than happy to transport her to a different plane of existence. Anything Else We Need to Know?: Each chain on Andromeda's body has a total length of about 10 feet. The chains are almost impossible to break, seeming to be made of adamantium, if not something even stronger. They are also lighter than one would think, providing less of a hindrance to Andromeda. The only name he gives is Rommel Species: Allip Gender: Male (technically genderless due to being an Allip) Alliance: Evil Age: 68 Mature Adult at Age: Unknown Appearance: Rommel's normal appearance is a rather ghastly one. He seems to be a thing out of a nightmare, a featureless, roughly humanoid shape appearing to be made of a thick inky stuff that trails off into a smoky vapor near the bottom. The form has no legs, and the arms end within a cloak-like mass of the inky substance. His very form shifts and writhes chaotically, as if tormented on the outside just as his mind is tormented. Aside from the shroud he seems to be veiled with, if not made of, a faint trace of fog follows him about. Personality: Rommel is not all there mentally. His contact with the Creator God, as well as his very presence within the Throne of Chaos, has helped twist his view of everything. However, he is not always a rambling fool. In fact, he is often rather intelligent and decently spoken, though it is sometimes apparent that he's teetering on the brink of insane. The only time he starts delving deeper into the mindset of chaos is when he invokes some of his powers. Rommel holds grudges. It is ingrained in his mind deeply enough that revenge is a basic thing to him. He tends to know if he's been slighted, and has a rough time forgetting the names or faces of those involved until he exacts his revenge. Rommel believes in deities. They are not kind and loving deities, instead, they are cruel and often torturous to him when they need him. He obeys their wills without question, because such requests are few, and to defy his gods is to suffer unspeakable tortures for all of time. More often than not, his patron deity asks him to do some rather odd things, like standing still for five minutes. Such requests are not unwelcome, because he knows it could be harder. Abilities: Ghost's touch - Rommel, despite being a normally incorporeal creature, can take on a physical state for a time. He gives up the advantages of being incorporeal to be able to manipulate real objects for a time. Gifts of the Creator God - Rommel can summon forth nightmarish creatures of various sizes to assist him. They can be: Up to three Ghouls, a pair of Mi-Go, or a Shoggoth. He can also summon, for a brief moment, a Dark Young. He is also able to cast "taint" about himself, which slowly eats away at things caught within the clouds. Madness - Any creature foolish or curious to probe the mind of Rommel does so at a price. The initial mental link causes a rather painful backlash. If this does not sever the connection immediately, glancing into the chaotic madness that is Rommel's subconscious can mesmerize, daze, or severely confuse. Upon the severing of a link (if it's not immediately cut by the initial backlash), it causes extreme mental pain, often disabling the victim for a good ten to thirty seconds. Disadvantages: Ghost's Touch - Rommel cannot normally influence the material world without the use of mental power. When he turns physical, he becomes vulnerable to physical damage, especially fire. Gifts of the Creator God - Rommel must pay a price each time he uses the powers granted by his god. The power of the ability determines the toll it takes on his sanity. If he overuses these abilities, he descends into true madness for a time, and will either lash out at any threat, real or perceived, or he will simply flee. He also mumbles things to himself constantly in this state. Listening to the mumbling is inviting disaster, as the very words, if clearly heard, carry taint upon them. Rommel himself also becomes tainted, and if he is not given time to rest or recover, he will slowly kill himself again. Madness - The backlash of the mental link makes it hard for telepaths to speak to him, as he causes pain to them. Even if he seems sane on the outside, his mental state is always chaos. Family: None. He has brief remembrances of some people, but they are always in a haze of confusion. History: Rommel was once a man by the name of Aaron Meyer. He led a very average life for quite some time, until he was about 30. That was when, by a mix of circumstance and curiosity, he found an old, ancient cult devoted to a great being known as the Creator God. After the initial curiosity, he began to attend meetings of this cult, having been invited back by the leader. Something in Aaron changed as he attended these meetings. Some said he had strokes of utter brilliance one day, followed by mad incoherence the next day. However, Aaron slowly integrated into the cult, learning that perhaps one of the few laws was that one never spoke the God's name aloud, and that he would never learn the names of the high priests, who had undergone a strange ritual. He gave up everything he had, eventually, to be in the cult, and over the twenty years of his service, he came to be what others called a "Messenger" of the chaotic god. His ascension to a high priest was inevitable. The man was brilliant, yet also a little scary to some. This all ended, though, when, in a fit of madness, Rommel took his own life in a horribly gruesome ritual in dedication to his god. He remembers very little of what he saw as he died. All he remembered was the chaos around him, and he knew that he had seen the throne of Chaos, the residence of the Creator God. He also remembers signing, in his own blood, a book, and taking a new name, and with the name, he was granted powers. He has since found out why no high priest's true name had never been known. It was impossible to utter without dire consequences to those present, not to mention that it was nearly impossible to speak. It was then that he took the nickname "Rommel". He did not return to the mortal plane, though, as a human. He was returned as something else, a terrible black shade that struck the minds of the humans who saw him with panic and chaos. He remained for many years, working in the name of his God. But, as the requests went, he was called to a new world altogether… And this is where his story leaves off. Background: Rey and Aleis are the last two survivors of a massacre of their clan on a planet that is nonexistent in this dimension. Swearing revenge, they traveled to the planet Reytalon to train as Blade Dancers, the most feared and respected mercenary warriors in their galaxy. They advanced at roughly the same pace, working their way through the rigorous, and sometimes nearly fatal training. Rey graduated to the rank of Blade Dancer a few days before Aleis, and they have stayed together ever since, taking on jobs together. On one particular mission, they encountered a spatial anomaly known as an Ion Well in their journey. They were pulled into it despite their best attempts to escape it. The Ion Well acted as a portal, and pushed the two Chakrans into this world. When Reyash came to, Aleis was nowhere to be found. He searched the area for months, but couldn't find her. He then came across probably the only way to reach her, which was to make himself known as a mercenary assassin and warrior. Unfortunately, he needed to find a way to make himself known and stay alive at the same time. He trained with some of the best warriors, particularly Elven and Orc warriors. During his training, Elven mages found him to be rather adept at working with shadow and illusion magics, and trained him in their uses. He is waiting to become more powerful before going out and making a name for himself. Aleis woke in a camp of shamanistic trolls. They believed her to be an incarnation of a cat goddess, and kept her. This was originally against her will, but she eventually fell into the style of life she chose, as an incarnation of wrath against the enemies of these trolls. She learned the troll language and rituals, as well as other language of the allies of the trolls. She continues this lifestyle in hopes of becoming known among the world, with the hopes of Reyash finding out and maybe finding her. She has long, brown hair, and her eyes are orange-red. She wears light armor, the chestpiece consisting of cloth overlaid with metal strips in an X pattern. The weak points on her sides are reinforced with black dragonscale. She wears thigh-length leather chausses with dragonscale covering, effectively protecting her legs. Her arms are covered to just past the elbow with a strange rubbery substance that is flexible and quite surprisingly tough. She generally wears simple boots over her chausses, so that traversing terrain doesn't wear down the chausses too badly. It is sometimes said that green lightning or auras are about her, but these things are few, and mostly unconfirmed. Personality: Akroma is generally gentle and patient with others, which her brothers consider strange because of her powers, which are chaotic. However, she does not contact other beings that much. She was raised and trained among the leaders of a great magi-tech nation, and so Akroma spends most of her time bettering her inventions. Her most notable invention so far is a bird construct, which obeys her commands. This bird is often sighted following her or perched on her shoulder. She seems to talk to this bird more than she speaks to other people. However, if approached, she will not shy away from conversation. It is apparent when she speaks that she's rather intelligent. She believes in no specific deity, but instead, she believes in the concept of balance between light and darkness. She will aim to balance any conflict between good and evil through whatever means are at her disposal. Abilities: Chaos - Akroma controls the very essence of chaos, and is able to manipulate it into blasts, bolts, explosions, and the like. The energy, being chaotic, has a tendency to explode on contact depending on the power behind the attack. She is mostly immune to her own explosions. Mechanical Genius - Akroma loves to build, and has been practicing the skill for many hundreds of years. With the right materials (pretty much any metal and some tools), she can build lots of interesting things, ranging from grenades to constructs to weapons. She is also a bit of an alchemist, and knows some rather interesting formulas, though more often than not she doesn't bother doing new things with it. Regeneration - Akroma's healing can be sped up to amazing rates with the right amount of energy input. She can also heal most damage done to her over time. Disadvantages: Chaos - as the name implies, Akroma's energy has a potential of backfiring. She must also let out some of her energyevery so often, as containing too much chaos energy for an extended period of time is generally unhealthy. Regeneration Burn - Triggering her regeneration is a little difficult to do at times, and when it does trigger, it almost immediately drains all her energy, putting it towards healing. His eyes glow with an unearthly red aura, perhaps the most noticeable trait on him. He is rather muscular, and shows no sign of aging past perhaps 20. However, this is not what sets him apart from humans the most. It's what he wears. Kain is most often seen in a rather intimidating suit of battle armor. It seems almost too heavy to carry, but Kain carries it with surprising ease due to his physical power, gained from his demonic bloodline. The armor covers the whole body, leaving "soft" (But still rather durable) spots at the backs and sides of the knees, and inside the elbows, as well at at the neck (provided his attacker can get inside the protective plate just outside his helmet). The armor is blood red, trimmed in orange and a bit of yellow, and there is an emblem on his shoulders of a flame, with the badge "Hellfire" beneath the one on his right shoulder. This armor draws chemicals and elements from the surroundings and "feeds" them to Kain, effectively making him not need food or water as long as he wears the armor. Aside from the armor, Kain carries two weapons on his person: a manhunter (An unholy scythe), and his basic plasma rifle. The manhunter lets off a dark aura. This aura makes it stronger against good-aligned enemies, and a bit weaker against evil-aligned enemies. The rifle fires small bursts (3 shots) of white-hot plasma at opponents. This is nice, except for the fact that it can only fire 4 bursts before it must charge for 15 minutes. Personality: Kain can be described rather easily: a psychopath with a homicidal streak. To describe this better, it must first be noted that Kain hears voices regularly. It's not clear to anyone whether it's from another being that is speaking mentally to him, or if he truly has "voices in his head", but they are still dangerous nonetheless. These voices keep Kain teetering between sane and insane, and all it takes is a little push to drive him mad for a time. It's a good thing he never needs to sleep, because he would inevitably have nightmares (though he'd call them good dreams) of massacres and other horrific acts. There is only one voice in his head that he knows the name of, and that's his personal demon, Gekis. Another note is Kain's insatiable hatred for humans. Merely mentioning a human near him will result in a "twitch", usually consisting of a few plasma bursts or a swinging manhunter in that general direction. Abilities: Ageless: Kain does not age due to his demonic pacts and heritage Berserker strength: when pushed over the edge, Kain's strength increases, he stops feeling pain, and it takes a lot to stop him without bloodshed. Veteran: Few things surprise Kain any more. He's seen everything, it seems: machines bent on the eradication of all things biological, space elves, hurricanes made of souls, and his own kind. Not to mention he's fought against or amongst all of them countless times. Bloodthirster: When pushed to the extremes of his limits, Kain loses control of his own body and gives in to the posession of a powerful Bloodthirster demon named Gekis. Gekis delights in destroying things, which is why he's pretty much only let out as a last of last resorts. In some cases, Kain is extremely reluctant to let out Gekis, and will actualy fight to keep the demon inside. Disadvantages: Insane: Kain's demonic pacts keep Kain on edge constantly, making him prone to doing stupid things. Berserker's destruction: When pushed over the edge, Kain has a terribly difficult time telling friend from foe. Twitchy: When Kain is surprised, he tends to shoot first, then wonder what the hell it was. Bloodthirster: Kain cannot control Gekis, though he can hold some sway over what Gekis destroys first. Kain must also remove his armor before he can be posessed, which often means he needs to plan way ahead, or at least find refuge to take off the armor (taking off his armor is almost impossible alone, and even with help, takes about 20 minutes). Family: The voices in his head are Kain's only family, and that's not saying much. However, one particular voice, named Gekis, has actually spoken to him. History: Kain wasn't really born. He was just melded and formed into existence by his own brethren and the demons that they embraced. At "birth", a young demon was also planted mentally into the boy's subconscious. As he grew, Kain was trained in the art of warfare using typical weapons that the Chaos acquired from raiding the vessels of Space Marines. He took to them and learned extremely fast, even among the Chaos, who lived for war in the name of their dark gods. He was made an officer via a brutal ritual which neither he nor Gekis will speak of, ever, to anyone, no matter what. He led many successful squads in some of the Black Crusades against the human Imperium for some time, as well as fighting skirmishes here and there against invading forces of other races. He ven fought on the cursed planet Kronus, and was one of the many forces that helped annihalate all opposition and secure the planet for the Chaos. Alliance: None Age: 50ish, not like it cares Mature Adult at Age: 10 Appearance: Malik's true form is a humanoid that is a little lanky, its limbs seeming weaker than they really are. Its face has very blank features, being very hard to remember or make out in a crowd. He has no hair. However, that is how he likes it. More often than not, though, Malik is seen in a different form entirely. Being a doppelganger, Malik is able to transform fully into anything that he can observe for a time. He can assume most any form he sees, and so he has spent time as almost every race, gender, and species he's seen. Personality: Malik enjoys causing trouble. It has trouble entering and leaving any civilized area without causing some style of disturbance, whether it's a bar brawl or a theft. Most of the time, it does things like this to test itself. Of co.urse, the extra coin never hurts, whether from stealing a gem or picking a pocket. Abilities: Doppelganger - Given about a minute or two of observation, Malik can take the form of almost anything it observes. It copies the form, size, physical characteristics, and most powers of the thing it copies. It can make minor modifications if it desires, but nothing huge. It retains his mental facilities in all forms, though, which can make it smarter (or ocassionally not as smart as) the general population of the thing he copies. Magic - Malik is a master of illusion magic, and transmutation magic. It doesn't use it often, but when it does, it's often for a good reason. Disadvantages: Doppelganger - Anyone who knows of Malik's true nature is unlikely to believe anything it says Magic - Malik isn't really any good at any other magic, and can't use much of it, even if he can use it well. Family: None History: Malik doesn't remember its parents. It was raised by another doppelganger, who taught Malik to be a masterful rogue. By the time malik was 5, it was on par with most human thieves, and at the age of 8, it could easily have taken over the local crime, but it didn't, instead preferring to simply cause problems for crime, organized and disorganized alike. It left without warning at the age of 9 to explore the world. By that time, it had grown comfortable with the body of an elf or human, but it wanted to explore and learn more. It has spent most of its life wandering and watching, trying out new forms whenever possible.

Name: Vesk Karite Nickname(s): Known as "Reaper" to anyone familiar with the Aeria bounty list. Age: Physically 32, though he no longer ages. Gender: Male Race: Human Occupation: Assassin, contract killer, murderer, psychopath, Halloween entertainment Personality: Somewhat stoic, minor God-complex, somewhat crazy, and occasionally quite sadistic. However, on night of full and almost-full moons, he is docile, calm, and sometimes even sociable. Backstory: Vesk never knew his parents. He was in the care of a small group of thieves, oddly enough, who seemed to see something in Vesk. He was raised a thief, trained in the use of various weapons, and slowly became the assassin he is today over the course of the first 25 years of his life. For seven years, he was a terror to his victims, a point of pride and jealousy to other assassins, and in general, enough of a threat to end up as one of the most wanted in the world of Aeria. At the age of 32, He was finally caught by a mix of betrayal and minor carelessness. He was given no trial. He was simply executed by hanging. All was quiet for about 100 years. However, it was then that a necromancer, cornered by guards and on his last breath, gave his life force to the inhabitant of a lone, abandoned grave. Vesk rose from that grave, and seeing what happened, he took up the necromancer's blade, and fought off the guards, almost losing as his body was forced to readjust to unlife. He managed to kill off the guards, though. He took up the necromancer's robe, scythe, and blade, and buried the man in the grave that had previously been his own. After a thorough destruction of the headstone, he went about making his name known again, to be spoken only in fear... Height: 6'5" Weight: 150 lb Eyes and Hair: Purple eyes, white, mid-back length hair Physical Features: Vesk looks somewhat skeletal, perhaps a product of his unlife. Strangely, though, he does not seem decayed or damaged otherwise. He had two parallel scars that run from his left shoulder down his back to about his right hip. His eyes have an unnatural glow to them at times, particularly when he's feeling a little deranged or excited. Clothing: Vesk tends to wear a tattered black necromancer's robe, which has been repaired and mended multiple times. He also wears a strange helmet that hides his features in shadow, except for his eyes. Equipment: Thanatos - Vesk's scythe. Made of black Mithral, he perfers to fight with this weapon. It is an unholy weapon, and will strike angels and other good-aligned beings more powerfully. Orcus - A gladius, also forged of black mithral. Very light, used if the enemy is adamant on close range combat and Vesk cannot outmaneuver them. Wounds caused by this weapon bleed more, and take much longer to heal. Cerberus - Vesk's helmet. It grants him the ability to see through all kinds of darkness. It is very light, and shrouds his features (except his eyes) in complete, impenetrable darkness. Nyx's Embrace - Vesk's robes. They are enchanted in such a way that they will help Vesk be silent and/or hidden when he wants. Inventory: Vesk carries some poisons on him, but not much else.
